KHWAJA ZAHEER AHMED

Chairman

Khwaja Zaheer Ahmed retired as Federal Secretary to the Government of Pakistan after an illustrious service spanning more than three decades. A man of extraordinary qualities and elevated principles, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in high-level management of various domains to his role as Trustee.


Ms ISMAT KHALID

Vice Chairperson

Ms Ismat Khalid, a botanist by profession, serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. She has a keen awareness of the needs of children faced with physical and mental challenges, and is trained to educate special children.


Mr SHAHID MAHMUD

Trustee

Mr Shahid Mahmud is the CEO of Interactive Communications (Pvt) Ltd. A prominent member of Pakistan’s business community, he has also served on the Advisory Board for the Ministry of IT and Telecommunications, Government of Pakistan.


Mr MOHAMMED SAEED KHAN

Trustee

Mr Muhammad Saeed Khan wields twenty years of senior management experience in his role as Trustee, having held high-level managerial posts as the Senior Vice President of South East & West Asia Division of Coca-Cola International, and Region Head for South West Asia (Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan).


Ms NAUREEN GUL MAHMUD

Ms Naureen Gul Mahmud currently serves as Executive Director at Interactive Communications (Pvt) Ltd, one of Pakistan’s premier companies in the telecommunications and information technology sector, where she oversees administrative and financial matters.



Ms SHAMA USMAN

Managing Trustee & Chief Executive Officer

Ms Shama Usman is a distinguished member of Pakistan’s architect community. Architecture, for her, has been more about people, places and cultures, and she always harboured the desire to improve the dismal living conditions and abject poverty of rural communities in Pakistan.


Ms SHAHEENA KHAN

Honorary Treasurer

Ms Shaheena Khan has undertaken social work as her mission in life. She set up the Women Aid Trust, an NGO working for the rehabilitation and rights of women and juvenile prisoners. Ms Shaheena Khan studied architecture for three (3) years at the National College of Arts, Lahore, Pakistan. With her extensive experience of working with underprivileged women at the grassroots level, she was instrumental in founding TRUCE.


Major General (Retd) Dr SHUAIB QURAISHI

Patron in Chief

Major General (Retd) Dr Shuaib Quraishi joined TRUCE in the early stages of its development, which has greatly benefitted from his experienced counsel and altruistic passion.

Dr Quraishi completed his M.B.B.S. degree from King Edward Medical College Lahore in 1952 and earned his M.R.C.P. from the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh in 1960. He was commissioned in the Pakistan Army Medical Corps in 1952 and enjoyed a distinguished military career for over three decades. Currently pursuing his own private practice, he was Professor of Medicine at the Army Medical College, and has continued to offer medical consultancy to the Rawalpindi Leprosy Hospital since 2007.


Ms FEROZE AFAQ AHMAD KHAN

Trustee

Ms Feroze Afaq Ahmad Khan completed her graduate studies in 1968 from the Home Economics College, Karachi, Pakistan. She specializes in textiles, clothing and weaving, with ajrak fabric being her forte.

Ms Feroze Ahmad Khan also played a significant role in the realization of the Trust’s educational and economic objectives by donating the seed money for the Nafisa Mai School, as well as the Industrial Home.
